Prostrations to all.

Sacchidananda Sivabhinava Nrsimha Bharathi swamigal, who was the Guru of Chandrasekhara Bharthi swamigal, was known for quite a few things. Firstly, his work of Gurupaaduka Stotra (which is quite popular now in chinmaya missions among other institutes) is filled with knowledge & devotion. Believe there was a mention about bhaadava agnih (that agni which drinks the ocean!!! - in the dhyaana sloka of maayavada darpanam) which is found in very few places and one of those being in the gurupaaduka stotra. There are many beautiful verses in the gurupaaduka stotra by swamigal -- filled with intense devotion and profound knowledge (there was a link to the stotra in advaita-vedanta.org but seems that has been now removed).

Secondly, dont know how many remember this -- but Madhaviya Sankara digvijayam of vidyaranya mentions about the people of Kaaladi not helping Sankara to cremate his mother. Sankara as he was a sanyaasin was prohibited from creating fire & other people (the current namboodiris) didn't help out sankara. Thus Sankara was alone & he created fire out of his will & Maya thereby burning his mother's corpse. As the people didn't co-operate on the same, Sankara cursed the people. But the compassionate Adi Sankara that he was, he said that a later sankaracharya would come and renovate the place thereby removing the curse. This later acharya was none other than sivabhinava nrsimha bharathi swamigal who renovated Kaladi & thus the Kaladi that we find filled with presence and blessings of Sankara now is a boon of the swamigal (there is a chinmaya learning centre as well in kaladi where vedanta course generally happens with malayalam interpretations/translations).

Prostrations to all.
